The wide frontage of the Embassy was finished with Marmola glazed tiles, unusually the cinema entrance was on extreme left side, whilst to balance the design on the right was the entrance to the Embassy Cafe which catered for both patrons and general public alike. Opening times were Monday – Saturday 11 am to 10 pm. Seating 180 and the menu with Table d’hote and a la carte luncheons, teas and suppers. The interior decoration was described as French modern, with main auditorium walls and columns panelled in light oak and lit by a system of coloured laylights. The films shown were both talking and silent which were accompanied by the Embassy Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Mr. Norbert Hornik. Projection and Sound were leased from the RCA Phototone Incorporated. A full stage and dressing rooms was provided for variety entertainment performances. Seating supplied and installed by American Seating Co., King Street London WC2.
