Shandon Drive-In 1165 Raglan Parade, Warrnambool, VIC
The drive-in was started by the Henderson family, originally from South Australia, who later relocated to Warrnambool. This was a large drive-in of 800 car capacity. The family ran a chain of drive-ins in South Australia, but this was their first in Victoria.
A later owner was the legendary Stan Stevens, who also ran the Capitol Theatre in Kepler St.
The drive-in on the corner of Raglan Parade/Rooneys Rd started as the Shandon Drive-In Theatre when it opened in December 1956 and closed as the Village Drive-in on 3 Feb 1985.
