1954 & The Kings is showing Paramount’s “Money from Home” with Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis. This was their first movie made in colour & 3D, having been shot with Technicolor’s 3-D camera rig, which exposed six strips of film in synchronization. It was the second and final time the rig was used. The film was also the third and last time one of the team’s features was available with a Western Electric, 3-track stereophonic soundtrack. The soundtrack is now lost.

In the case of the Kings “Money from Home” was screened in 2D, which is curious because Paramount’s “Sangaree” had screened in 3D almost 12 months previous.

“Money from Home” was screened on the Kings new Wide Screen that had been installed for “Shane” - enjoying a five week season, running from Sept 10, 1954 to Oct 8, 1954.
