Photograph 1936 showing the new construction of the Regal cinema, however, the front works are still ongoing as seen and the Regal opened in October 1936. Interesting to see the original tram rails still embedded within the cobbled street. Electric trams ran between Broughty Ferry and Dundee until 1931 when the Dundee Corporation purchased the Tram Company and closed the entire network.
