1935 colorized photo of back Circle area showing the sun beaming from the rear side panel. In the Bio Box on the left Chief Projectionist was Fred Baxter. Sound equipment was Western Electric High Range with additional Hill & Dale parts. Two years later some Mirrophonic components were added. In the mid-1950s the Orpheum was one of the few Sydney cinemas (apart from Metro) to install Perspecta Sound.
