Auditorium photograph taken day before official opening. Showing dressed screen and stage enclosed by decorative open metalwork orchestra railings. Concealed lighting from the ceiling is behind fibrous plaster mouldings. Splay walls are restrained by the fine bandings which make a feature of the clocks whilst hiding the ventilation ducts, the main feature here being the tall thirteen panelled glazed ribbed lighting tower of obscured etched glass.
