Buckner Boulevard Drive-In
The theater - which was was the first in Dallas with individual car speakers - became its first with CinemaScope sporting a new 80x40 fiberglass screen - on Easter Sunday 1954. The Buckner was said to be the first drive-in with the pictured multichannel stereo with these three-horned drive-in speakers you placed on your dashboard. This stereo system was created by and also added to operator Claude Ezell’s drive-ins in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Houston, and Fort Worth. Thiswire clips to your mirror and holds the heavy speaker.
