Bruce Collins Sr. (right) of Corpus Christi Theatres receives a plaque for being the first all-electric theater in the history of Corpus (and its first hardtop to open post World War II). The plaque was awarded in August of 1965 at the theater’s open house attended by more than 5,000 folks.
