The Dress Circle Foyer.
This view shows the Dress Circle foyer. The ornate bevelled glass doors, the slope of the balcony above, the textured walls and the ornate moulded plaster decoration can be seen. The Hoyts proprietary patterned carpet dates from their tenure of the building after they took over Ozone Theatres. At the time the picture was taken, the balcony had had a screen and curtains built in front of it and was operating as a cinema, while the rest of the very large building had been left to the pigeons, and the abandoned proscenium arch loomed overhead in the darkness.
