The $400,000 elliptical structure proposed for Associated Theatres was greenlit with this vaulted roof was designed by architects Bernard J. Liff and Just of Liff-Just-Chetlin of Pittsburgh. Ground was broken in July of 1964 and they then they decided to downscale the property likely to fit the Eastland Shopping Center more harmonically.
