The most successful picture in the history of the first Gem Theatre in Winthrop? Hands down it was the exploitation film, “Body of Beautiful” from SM Films in Gary that didn’t play a day or two or a week but close to a full month in Winthrop. It was a sensation for SM Films of Gary, Indiana.
