Before ESPN and television, you pretty much had to go to the theatre to see replays of famous boxing matches as evidenced here in 1927 at the Central Theatre in Papillion. Dempsey clocked Tunney but forgot the new rule to go immediately to a neutral corner. The film showed that Dempsey had Tunney on the mat for some 14 seconds - more than the needed 10 seconds for the victory. But the fight continued with Tunney later awarded the victory in one of boxing’s most controversial bouts.
