Prince Edward auditorium during its last year of operation. ‘Audience participation’ speakers on the walls were installed for the season of “Becket”, which featured four-track magnetic stereophonic sound. Oddly, the theater had never installed ‘Perspecta sound’ which gave a ‘fake stereo’ effect, and was widely used by Paramount for its 1950s releases.
