The dormant Texan Theatre reopened on March 1, 1972 as a Jerry Lewis Cinema, screening Walt Disney’s animated “Pinnochio”. It was a rare conversion for the circuit which declared bankruptcy in a year - about the same time as the Jerry Lewis Theatre signage was removed and new operators tried one last time to operate the theater as a movie house.
