Rose Theatre
The three iterations of this venue following its run as the Orpheum: At top left is the People’s Theatre which went out of business during the Depression in 1930 closing as a silent operation.
That was followed by new operators installing a sound system in November of 1930 rebranding as the Cloverdale Theatre and going out of business the next month (top right).
A new approach was to make it a discount talking picture house, the Rose Theatre (bottom left) that opened and closed in 1931.
The Cloverdale Theatre name was reused in another location in town with RCA sound equipment in Druids Hall in 1933 (bottom left). That failed as well.
