My favorite photo of the Golden State/United California Fairfax Theatre is seeing the back side of this huge neighborhood former cinema now a church. You can see the cut out niches in the steel/cement building that the former cinema had. On the inside side walls these showed up as little indented castle type sections. United CA Theatres/UA covered them up with curtains during a bad remodel job at one time. The church people removed the drapes so you can see what the original side walls looked like. I think some of these were lit in a blue light during a movie on low.
