Thanks for the photo. Must have been taken after 1953 as they did not have stereo surround speakers on the side walls in 1950. This Fox Theatre was one of the first cinemas in the area to put in 4 track mag sound and a CinemaScope® wide screen. Must have looked great with all the drapes. Thanks again CC for the image.
My father took me to see Shane here in the late 1950’s or early 60’s. – the sound from those side speakers was awesome. When the lights went down the ceiling cove was lit in deep purply/blue neon.
