This 1972 topographic map highlights the Burchfield Drive-In in dark blue. By this time it was submerged by the Clinch River after completion of the Melton Hill Dam. However this map shows the drive-in in its entirety, before some of it was destroyed during construction of the new Solway Bridge a few years later.
