Yale Theatre
The Yale Theater in Claremore Oklahoma was built as a livery stable in 1902 by Clem V. Rogers (Father of Will Rogers). In 1915 an enterprising man named Brophy purchased the building and converted it into a movie theater, naming it Yale. In 1929, the Yale Theater was acquired by the Griffith Amusement Co. of Oklahoma City. The new owners commissioned the Dallas, Texas firm of architects of Corgan and Moore to refurbished the house, changing it from an ugly building to a new and modern movie house.
