1939 shot of manager Ed Crabtree awarding a free pass to “The Women"at Danville’s Fischer Theatre. She won by signing a large promo book in the lobby some weeks ago. The book was sent to stars Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford, and Rosalind Russell who purportedly sent telegrams to this woman and nine others awarding them passes.
