National Theatre
This theatre was opened on January 12, 1928 By George Fischer whose fledgling circuit had the Allis and Capitol. It launched with “Becky” but the star was Milwaukee architects Gustav Dick and Alex Bauer’s $1,000,000 theatre including the inner foyer which leads to the auditorium which had a glass enclosed cry room under the balcony – potentially the first of its kind in Milwaukee movie theaters.
