In wartime, nothing was too big including this “largest ever mural” for a motion picture with a 35' high General Matsui all to promote the film “Purple Heart” by 20th Century Fox. This photo shows the mural in progress circa 1944 from the mind of Hal Horne – director of advertising at Fox.
