It’s February 1, 1977 and time for the De Anza Drive-In Theatre to carry the baton for the Cactus Drive-In that was demolished in favor of this three (and later four-) screen drive-in. Get there early as the space will be tight: Screen one holds 500 cars but screen 3 only has room for 300 and screen 2 just 200. De Anza Drive-In Theatres Inc. has a fully-automated projection room so things should run on time. (At top is the Cactus Drive-In’s last night October 26, 1976 with “Taxi Driver” and “Obsession.”
