It’s October 17, 1908 and time for C.F. Mensing of the Hippodrome Roller Rink to launch his Nickelodeon, the Casino Theatre. He’ll be facing competition from the established Palm Theatre at 311 Delaware and the People’s Theatre run by veteran M.J. Cunningham.
