As of Google Street View October 2015 the screen is still standing. There is a building in the exact spot that the projection building was in, but I’m not sure if it’s the same building or one that was built on the old foundation.
7668 US-2, Rapid River, MI 49878 will drop you on top of the Mobil station that is now on the exact spot of the drive-in. A 1953 aerial on Historic Aerials exists of this ozoner when it was open.
Property was never developed per google street view from October of 2015. Except for the very front of the lot, where the entrance/exit roads still exist, it’s pretty much a small forest now.
Yes, the previous comment from 6 years ago points out the address problem. 2516 Bloom Rd, Alpena, MI 49707 will map correctly to the location of the former drive in. The Long Lake address is nowhere near this drive in.
As of right now the Winter Drive In is temporarily closed until mid-July. They have received two Christie Digital Projectors and they are currently upgrading the projection booths for screens #1 and #3 and have ordered a 3rd projector for screen #2. No word on screen #4 yet but this is still great news!
Address for this would be 2987 US-301, Dunn, NC 28334. Country Clean now occupies this site. Going back on Google Earth historical to 1993 you can see the ramps, and Historic Aerials has a perfect view of it from 1972 when it was functioning.
In current aerial views it looks like only half the property was developed. The other half you can still see the curve of the former drive in while looking at the mini forest north of the current cinemas.
3900 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407 is now the proper address for this Drive-In. 3900 High Point road maps to an empty lot that never held a drive in according to Historic Aerials.
As of Google Street View from March of 2016 the Needle has been removed and there is a sign stating that Office/Retail is coming soon. On Bing Maps Aerial and Birds Eye the needle is still currently visible, but not in their street level view, as of this post.
Ok, some research shows that 15-A is now US 401. If you look at the location of West Cornelius Harnett Blvd & Brightwater Dr., Lillington, NC and either go back on Google Earth or Historic Aerials that spot looks as if it may have had a Drive-In at one point in time. Historic Aerials only goes back to 1998 and Google Earth to 1993 so if someone has access to earlier aerials and can confirm that would be good. This would place it roughly 1 mile north of downtown Lillington. Brightwater Dr. now goes through the property I have indicated, it did not exist until recently.
Using Bing Maps Aerial view, then switching to Birds Eye view will confirm that whenever Bing took those photos the screen tower was still standing. It appears to have been a VERY large structure that had internal space behind it.
5107 US-250, Mannington, WV 26582 will take you to right across the street of the old drive in. It is dead east of the McDonalds. Ramps are still faintly visible from the air.
Google Street View from October of 2016 shows the screen, what’s left of it, quite visible. It’s pretty much a skeleton but does have a few white panels left.

An accurate address for this would be 31379 Highway 18, Winner, SD 57580

October 2016 Street View still shows what’s left of the screen, the base of the marquee is still there and the ticket booth is still intact.

January 2017 Google Street view shows the screen still standing, but Carolina Carports is an operational business on the lot.
Google Street View from November 2016 shows the site is still unused, the screen tower still there.
A Good address for this one would be 1884 N Carolina 24 Newport, NC 28570. Driveins.com has pictures.

The Marquee was still there being used by the current business on site as of October 2015 Google Street view.
On Bing Maps in Birds Eye, if you rotate the view you can see the front of the screen. On it are the words “Now Showing 84 Lumber”

The Google mobile has not been that way since November of 2008, so the screen is still visible in street view, for now.

It would appear that the base that was used for the marquee is still in use for the company currently on site.
Albert Cabell Ritchie was governor of Maryland from 1920 to 1935.
July 2014 Google Street view shows the ticket booth still there and the marquee there, but it has fallen down and is rather mangled.
It appears that this renovation and reopening is moving forward. They were granted a variance back in February, and they now have a Facebook page!
