Looks like they had RCA “Old Style” junction boxes for the speakers.
Chips episode titled “Green Thumb Burglars” has them chasing a truck through the field of the drive-in theater. This is the episode where the guys pull over H.R Pufnstuf (in costume).
Looks like the theater is still in good shape, especially the screen. Someone should try to re-open it.

The Daily Chronicle is reporting the City of Centralia has indeed granted the Fox Theater a million dollars for restorations.
The totem pole is now very rotted out. I’d be worried about it falling over.

What a pity. This theater did a lot of business.

The white rectangle on the wall is where the wall mount telephone used to be.
I heard the theater roof has collapsed under the weight of heavy snow on February 15, 2019.
Somebody posted on the film-tech forums this theater is now closed permanently and all equipment is being auctioned.
That’s a Projected Sound brand speaker.
Any updates on this theater?

The speaker pole has an RCA “Old Style” junction box on it. So the theater likely had an RCA sound system installed for the in-car speakers.
