Take a look at these two photos. The Crystal Palace Market across the street from the Orpheum appears to be an old theater. The question is, which one?
This photo shows the Embassy on the right and the Fox on the left. If you have good eyes, you may be able to spot the Paramount, the Orpheum and the United Artists theaters as well:
The glory days in Westwood ended in 1988, when a young woman was shot and killed in the Village. I used to go to Westwood on weekend nights in the mid 80s, and the Village was packed. Now it is dead. The opening of the Santa Monica promenade took away a lot of business as well.

Here is a puzzle. This store on Market Street was clearly a theater at one time. Any ideas?

Should we forgo the Fargo jokes? Ubetcha.
I did zoom and scroll, but I can’t tell what that building is. Thanks for the info.
So the Olympic would have been slightly north of the Optic on the west side of the street?
Vincent, you have a much better memory than I do. I’m sure you’re right.
You are welcome. It beats working, which is what I am supposed to be doing right now.
I will post any that I find. Obviously exterior shots are more common. Here is an exterior photo from the 1930s:
