You need to get add-a-photo working again! It’s been out for nearly a year and I have dozens of theatres to add to the database, but I don’t want to do it until I can add my photos of them too!
The Jewett City Cinemas closed down on April 6, 2003, along with the nearby Norwich Twin, also from the Welch Theatres chain. Welch filed for Chapter 11 and plans to sell its remaining 2 cinemas.
The Elm Theatre closed down in September 2002. The last movies it showed were Tadpole and Full Frontal. It will be demolished to make way for a chain pharmacy.
The Beacon was at 1003 40th Ave. It seated 585.
This theatre is already listed elsewhere on Cinema Treasures as theatre #1942, Loews Cineplex Elmwood.

The former State Theatre is now CLOSED! It has been closed since April!!!
