Sinatra never played a regular concert at the Palace, but I know that when William B. Williams died, he was one of the performers that were part of the memorial service WNEW held there.
“Thats Entertainment” started a revival craze and I remember this release of “Animal Crackers” did such huge business at the Sutton, it opened on a neighborhood run also. Check out the Suttons great marquee in the ad. View link
The Paramount was part of this 1964 showcase starring Robert Goulet. It was called “Honeymoon Hotel”. Is it my imagination or were the majority of the 60’s showcases star studded sex comedies? View link
I can’t believe but I actually remember seeing this re-issue of “Oliver” at the Arion instead of the Oasis because the Arion paired it with “The Trouble With Angels” and the Oasis had it with a western. View link
In July of 1970 “Oliver” came out on a discount run. In Manhattan it’s playing the Heights and the Jade. Is the Jade a Chinatown theatre? Seems like an odd booking. View link

I just noticed the status says closed/demolished which is not true. It was adapted to retail.
This is the strangest theatre I have ever seen. You would think they would at least put a flat marquee on the building.

Warner Brothers called their showcase “Hollywood Showcase” when “Dead Ringer” played the Palace in 1964.

I based it on that one by one everything in Brooklyn is closing. People seem content to go to the inferior Regal Sheepshead Bay.

When “My Fair Lady” was re-released in 70mm in 1971 at the Criterion, it then went on to a wider run in 35mm.
