Does the success of commercial films shown on the IMAX screens even give Hollywood a thought that it’s time to bring back BIG SCREENS. They can be part of a plex but we need some Cinerama type theatres again.

I had forgotten all about the milk bottles, you jogged another memory in my brain. I too have so many great memories of going here. Many times in the bitter cold of Winter those heaters kept you nice and warm. I remember a few times it started snowing. Great times.
I remember those days well when the Green Acres was one of the gems of Long Island. In their day Green Acres, Syosset and Cinema 150 were on par with top Manhattan houses.

You bring up a good point, with all the money Disney put into the New Amsterdamn they pretty much left the old marquee. It’s not that it’s so nice that it’s considered a landmark.

1974 and “Gone With the Wind” was back again in 70mm but this time continuous showings.

To me the Beekman was worth saving, Cinema 1-2-3 are unrecognizable from the days they were the Eastsides premiere houses.
The Burtons on a 1967 neighborhood run. The second feature had Faye Dunaway before she became a star in it.
