This opened as the Cotter photoplays theatre in May 1916 and became the Lyric theatre on February 7th, 1913 and closed. The Strand theatre opened on the site on November 1st, 1918. more to come.

History: This opened as the Morton Opera House in December 1900 and renamed Garrick in 1912. On July 12th, 1928 the Garrick theatre burns down. It was rebuilt and reopened on February 28th, 1930 as the Capitol theatre, which closed on November 20th, 1974. It was at the NE Corner of Union & Cardwell.
