According to the article Joe references above the address here for the Oto Theatre is incorrect. The article says it was at 1620 First Ave and is now an Elks Lodge. The building at 1620 does look like a former theatre!
Address was 467 Talbot St. Opened as the Star, became the Tivoli, and finally was the Granada before closing in the early 1950’s and being demolished in 1956.
The Rex is in Pioneer Town and should be listed as open as a live venue since it serves as the home to a variety show called the “Dirty Shame Show”. The address is 7 West County Road.
They are still interested in restoring the theatre, but their website says nothing will happen unless they can get some grants for it.
