I’m planning on going to this theater at the end of this month just in time for “Nightmare On Elm Street” (the remake)….slimshady, will this theater be all-digital by may or later this year?
clash of the titans is not in 3d at this theater, thank the gods. Only How To Train Your Dragon, which was made with 3D in mind, is still being shown for a second week. Greenberg, the new comedy starring Ben Stiller, is playing at this theater, yet another reason why East Hanover gets all the indie films and Rockaway rarely gets any.
avatar will be only in 2d starting tomorrow, and alice 3d is on one screen.
Digital,Digital,Digital,big deal.

another digital screen was added.
also during the showing of new moon instead of amc showing the jungle trailer they showed the old one with Clip in it before the movie began….is AMC doing this at other theaters? Welcome back Clip!!!
went to a 4 pm showing of new moon yesterday. good presentation no splices. during the previews the digital sound was on and off before the projectionist reverted to stereo. this is the worst amc loews theater. they should rebuild it as an amc theater with stadium seating and all digital sound, much like rockaway.
If it is that bad I want to see it!!Free advertisment!!!!!!
when i worked for Loews in the late 70’s We would hire a protester to stand in front of the house, it would be shown on the local news and we had much more attendance than if nobody had heard about it.
Cloudy is back in 3-D, and also a digital 2D presentation of The Stepfather remake is also in the same auditorium. This weeknd: “Xmas Carol 3D”. I read a review online that says that this theater gets bad prints of major movies. I can see why, lots of scratches, splices, and blurry prints. Thankfully I go to Rockaway instead of this theater.
They also had I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell for awhile as well as back in the 90’s controversial indie movies like Priest that were banned by religious groups. They even had protesters outside the theater for the Da Vinci Code movie, which did well despite the protests.
The Cartel is playing exclusively at this theater. It’s a movie about the state of NJ schools and was made by a NJ news reporter who used to work for Bloomberg television. One reason why East Hanover gets all the indie movies that ROckaway sometimes lacks.
One of several AMC theaters to retain the hanging LED movie showtimes above the box office (Wayne also has it and probably Ridgefield Park).
Looks I was right, the first 3-D movie to play here is “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”.
One major splice was during the trailer for “Love Happens”, in which a scene with Jennifer Aniston got sped up and cut. BTW, I checked the theater’s website and the pricing charge will be the same as Rockaway’s…$3. I would prefer going to Rockaway with its stadium seating and all digital sound rather than this dying theater, which is like every other rundown Loews theater that AMC ruined.
went to see all about steve in theater 1. sound was dolby stereo and projection was a bit blurry. minor splices during trailers.
what screen?
no just one screen.
This is good news….next month Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs will become the first 3D movie to play at this theater, followed by that Michael Jackson concert movie. Will it be one screen or all screens? Seems that AMC is getting Sony technology back into this former Sony theater.
sony 4k coming soon within a month
Currently on the theater’s fandago ticket site, tickets aren’t available to purchase online.
As a result, he transferred to that other AMC theater in Morris County, the rockaway location, and works there occasionally on weekends. His name is Paul Appel and lives in Rockaway.
One of my former co-workers from Employment Horizons recently lost his job at the theater because of the economy.
Some time ago this week, the theater was closed because there were police cars surrounding the building. What was going on there? I was on respite not too far from the theater and heard of the incident. After the incident was over, the theater re-opened the following day.
