This is a 1939 photo. The building at approximately 107 S. Broadway looks like a theater, but it could be a number of things. It would have been a few doors north of the Mason.

Regarding the popcorn, there wasn’t any. There was a ratty looking display with some candy bars, but I don’t know who were supposed to pay if you actually wanted one.

I took 66 from LA to Chicago two years ago. I don’t remember seeing Jerome at all, which is odd. I did take the spur that goes through Oatman, so that may be the reason. Anyway, here is a site with more photos:
