This is a 1939 photo. The building at approximately 107 S. Broadway looks like a theater, but it could be a number of things. It would have been a few doors north of the Mason. http://tinyurl.com/5mg8h4
Regarding the popcorn, there wasn’t any. There was a ratty looking display with some candy bars, but I don’t know who were supposed to pay if you actually wanted one.
Any idea where the Plaza Theater was in NE Philadelphia? I can’t find it on CT, but I think I’m looking under the wrong name. Any help would be great. http://tinyurl.com/6ytpqh
I took 66 from LA to Chicago two years ago. I don’t remember seeing Jerome at all, which is odd. I did take the spur that goes through Oatman, so that may be the reason. Anyway, here is a site with more photos: http://tinyurl.com/6q5us9
This ad was on movie-theatre.org. Should be circa 1977:

Looks good to me. Thanks.
It didn’t work for me. Can you post it again?
Thanks. I saw the Traymore implode when I was in sixth grade. That’s the large hotel seen in the distance.
OK, thanks.
This had been changed to closed, but now it’s back to closed/demolished. Must be a gremlin in the system.
I vaguely recall the amusement park. I think there were a couple of childrens' rides and some skeeball games.
A mariachi show is scheduled for Sunday May 11, per the marquee.
Warren, can you post the 1949 photo again?

I wonder what the actual demolition date was? It was still around in the late 70s when I was in high school.
