Looking at the map view, the current building at 706 looks very similar to the one seen in the 1944 photo. It doesn’t look the building was occupied when the more recent photo was taken.

If you’re trying to find the theater on the map view, look a bit north from 5320 to where 49 meets with Edwards Street. The drive-in can be seen at that intersection.

I was going to say that the marquee on the 3/22 photo says “Chickens dont’t cry”, but I suspect that I am translating gallos incorrectly.
