At the time of it’s opening Stewart and Everett operated all the indoor movie houses and drive-ins in the greater Wilmington area with the exception of the Manor Theatre Downtown Wilmington which was operated under Eastern Federal Corporation.
THE NEW CENTRE CINEMAS' largest auditorium had a seating capacity of 515. Auditorium Two had a seating capacity of 283 bringing the total of 725 seats. The smallest auditorium had a seating capacity of 210 bringing the total seating capacity of 1,008.

A lot of people avoided this turkey and flock over to the larger auditorium where JURASSIC PARK was packing them in and keeping the lines going around the block.
This was one of the multiplexes that CARMIKE abandoned and left for dead when it closed in 2003. Reason why is no one knew where exactly the theatre was located not to mention even existed for that manner since the cinema was located on the other side of Bastion Lane at Tower Merchants right off the Traywick Road near the Raleigh Beltline in East Raleigh.
SIX FORKS STATION CINEMAS upon it’s grand opening on August 1,1986 was Cineplex Odeon’s first multiplex theatre in the greater Raleigh-Durham market.
Cineplex Odeon operated this theatre from 1986 thru 1991.
Carmike Cinemas operated this theatre from 1991 thru 2000. Carmike closed this theatre in 2000. Ambassador Entertainment took over operations in 2000 and reopened this theatre and refurnished it in 2003.
The 55th Anniversary of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s epic
SOUTH PACIFIC was a reserved seat engagement presentation at Charlotte’s Carolina Theatre on June 25,1959. It was the only showing of the film in the Carolinas.
When the RIVERVIEW CINEMA was twinned in 1986,it was split into two sections. While the original auditorium had 550 seats,the twin cinema was split down the middle combining 275 seats each. It closed in 1995.
