According to http://docsouth.unc.edu/gtts/map/asheville?venue=55 the address is 9 NW Pack Square.

The address was 913 Castle St as you can see in that ad above. I’m not sure where the Market St address came from that is on this page. A Google view of 913 Castle shows the theatre to still be standing.

Roger Katz commented about Pines Theatre on Sep 18, 2012 at 4:28 pm

It was located between the buildings that are now at 204 Parkway and 218 Parkway, so its address was approximately 210 Parkway,

It opened in 1944 and closed in 1957.

This theatre should not be listed as demolished. It was gutted, but still stands. My 2012 photos are at http://www.cinematour.com/tour/us/22478.html

A recent article about the Rivoli says they hope to open the nightclub in six or seven months. http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2012/08/rivoli_owner_hopes_to_reopen_t.html

Roger Katz commented about Kingsbridge Armory could become home to the first 4-D theater in the U.S. on Sep 4, 2012 at 5:48 pm

Actually, the theatre proposal is competing with the ice rink proposal. The theatre is part of the marketplace proposal.

The entrance to Norbury Hall is now around the back from where the cab company is. Live performances are held there occasionally.

By the way, the address for the second screen is 11 Pleasant Street.

Roger Katz commented about Cape Ann Community Cinema on Aug 24, 2012 at 6:59 am

The second screen is not in the same location, though. It is a couple of blocks away and should probably be considered a separate theatre. The second screen is known as Film Haven while this original screen will be called the Movie Loft.

I visited Bridgton this week and was able to place the theatre location by locating the two building still standing from the postcard pictured above. Where it appears there theatre would have been stands a building that is much newer than the rest of the downtown buildings. The theatre thusly is demolished. The address would’ve been 154 or 156 Main St.

Dave, I must’ve just missed you! I was up in Berkshire County on Saturday August 4 photographing theatres. What day were you up there? I got pics of this one and two others in Adams as well as many others around the region.

Did you stop at the old Summer Street Theatre in Adams?

54 Boundary Line Road maps to the correct address. From a Google aerial view you can still see the ramps in the field.

The VFW Post there was built in 1906 and is listed as 904 Bank Street. Could this be the old Family Theatre building?

Roger Katz commented about Madison Airdome on Aug 1, 2012 at 9:14 am

Hmm, if only I’d looked at my own research. The old Airdome apparently was demolished in 2004 and a new building erected on the site shortly after.

Roger Katz commented about Madison Airdome on Aug 1, 2012 at 9:13 am

An Airdome would have been outside, I believe. I think this one is demolished.

Roger Katz commented about Lyceum Theater on Jul 30, 2012 at 3:25 pm

Not sure why this is listed as demolished. The building is still there.

However, which building? 177 Main Street is a small building, but certainly could have housed a storefront theatre. The tall building that the first comment on this page refers to is the one next door at 183 Main Street.

Was just here today and 39 Bank St is a parking lot so it appears this theatre has long since been demolished.
