Have only been there one time in 2016 for Deadpool, can’t wait to go there this weekend for Zootopia and the new IMAX at AMC pre show which I saw once in Deadpool! Things are changing from March on, Cloverfield, Diverent Series, BvS, Jungle Book, A beautiful Planet, Civil War……will be so excited to catch all these IMAX movies at its IMAX theater.
If it takes days to install the projector, showing Jungle Book will be very very unlikely. It just doesn’t make sense to switch to digital projector for the Jungle Book,and then switch back to 70mm again for A beautiful Planet.:((((
I guess no Zootopia IMAX at LS13 this week, they still have not put up the tickets for sale. Deadpool 4 straight weeks? If so, this will be the 4th IMAX movie to be missed at its IMAX theater in just 2 months.

This plan will be so fantastic for many moviegoers! Showing BvS, Jungle Book, Beautiful Planet and Captain American in 70mm will be a a lot better than laser IMAX! Especially BvS and BP MUST be seen in 70mm!

Personally, I love going to LS13’s IMAX auditorium very much, and I always bring my family together. But now, I just feel sad that I can’t go with my family that often anymore simply because the theaters aren’t following the well planned IMAX releasing schedule.

This is getting really sad, we already missed the Revenant and the Finest Hours(two great IMAX movies)at LS13’s giant IMAX screen, and Gods of Egypt will be the 3rd missing IMAX movie at this theater in just one month! I’m afraid we won’t be able to see many of our favorite IMAX movies at LS13 in the future. I’m starting to hate LS13’s decisions over the past few months, not to mention the renovation has still not started after we have been waiting it for months.

Still no news about the renovation, Deadpol is scheduled to Wed. now, so I believe the renovation will not begin next week. This left the earliest starting date to be Monday Feb 22th—– probably the last chance to have laser before BvS.

Same for me, the IMAX at LS13 is the only theater I will go if I want IMAX. I just have the impression that other IMAX theaters in NYC are not real or s**k. That’s why I did not watch The Revenant at AMC 34th’s IMAX theater, but I went to AMC prime @ empire 25 to watch it.
For AMC prime, it’s new so no need to worry about the bugs. And you may still want to go there in the future because Dobly cinema may show the movies IMAX doesn’t have.
But the laser IMAX experience @ LS13 will certainly be the best!

Given what celboy said, you could also try row 4. But I guess the rows right in the middle of the auditorium are always the best

I don’t have the exact number for Dolby Cinema, the screen looks only slightly larger than the regular auditorium’s at LS13, but the sound system is amazing, and the image is super clear and bright. and really comfortable recliners chairs. plus, screen is 2.35:1, so full screen for deadpool no black bars.

I would recommend to watch deadpool at dobly cinema of AMC prime. It was great when I watched the revenant there. the design of that theatre is very different, but the movie watching experience is very close to IMAX.
