Hello CT: I remember this story. James Brown asked to see his report card and actually told him that he needed to improve his grades or he couldn’t hang out there anymore.
What a great theatre…I was there for a second time yesterday for Insane Clown Posse and covered in Faygo diet Root Beer.I had a feeling it was a movie theatre at some point.
The Crystal Palace (a/k/a Polanaise Terrace) has closed as of 9/30/2013.The building will soon be demolished and turned into a high-rise of condominium apartments.
Woodhull Hospital now stands in that spot. Here is some trivia for you: the abandoned lot (formerly know as the Alba Theatre) is can be seen in the santa claus French Connection foot-chase scene (do you pick your feet in Poughkeepsie CT?)
Hello all I am happy to report that I was here again on September 18th for Zombiegeddon.I am thoroughly convinced that I am in love with The Palace Theatre..they don’t make them like this anymore.

That theatre must have been so ornate, my heart breaks for its loss.
Sadly this sort of thing happens…I am a frequent visitor to The Palace and thank heaven that it is still open and operating at its full glory!
