this place needs a major overhaul- the marquee needs to be replaced-doesn’t anyone know how to spell- National Amusements needs to spend some $ or is it a write off for them.
you would think national amusements could have turned the theatre into a art house,a kiddie movie place or done something else into the place. when the building went up for sale the theatre was sold to a car dealership who latter sold it to the fireplace business. Again the staff and manager was extremely polite.
showcase cinemas bought this theatre from hoyts. i will never go to this theatre on friday nights the theatre is overunned by the mall rats management does not control the noise and the theatre is full of annyoing teenagers
there used to a manager who i referred to as MR.S. i really never knew his last name.he was very nice and always went out of his way to greet the customers. when this theatre closed, he disappeared untill a few years ago i saw him at the warwick showcase. it has been a long time since i last saw him anyone know his wereabouts now? i enjoyed going to this well cleaned a well opearated theatre it was a sham to see it close.
i remember this place-nothing but great memories- i remember hearing over the loud speakers “concession stand closes in 10 minutes”
nothing but great memories.
