From what I heard on the news last night everyone indoors in NY is required to wear a mask no matter what the vaccinations status was. I thought Broadway has had mandatory masks no matter what your vaccination status is.
I haven’t heard one complaint from ANYONE here over the last 3 weeks about the policy.
A dispute has been raging over Covid-19 safeguards for this year’s “Christmas Spectacular,” which is due to open tomorrow. New York Times article can be found here
They performed during the parade in a prerecorded segment before Santa came on Thanksgiving on NBC.
An update on the current status of the Rockettes as a troupe can be found in this article from the Curbed section of New York Magazine. Click here
Screened the World premiere of “Goldeneye” on 13/11/1995.
Hello Big Apple : Nice to know that maintenance is on- going at Music Hall, great to know that we will have a new rug to prance upon when you re-open , someday!

ridethetrain, you will find them here around page 77.
Not sure but I have them all in the booth if I ever go back in.
Does anyone know what website has a list of all thie films that played at Radio City Music Hall
If RobertEndres is still following this I wonder if he remembers if Mame and At Long Last Love were presented in stereo at the Hall. I seem to remember that they were but I am not 100% sure.
I ask this because the blurays are in mono. Of course the lps are in stereo. Were the film stereo tracks lost or were the films always in mono?
I will check the files next time I’m in.
I once said that Sunflower was the only film that was dubbed into english to have played at the Hall. I may be wrong. It seems that The Brain which was the ‘69 Thanksgiving film was filmed in french and dubbed into english except for Niven who I assume spoke in english throughout. Anybody have further details about this?
Sound system, projection and lighting? What about it?
How about sound system and projection and lighting ?
They’re also halfway finished with installing new carpet everywhere.
How about movies ?
The one thing I do know for sure is there will not be anything at the Hall until at least July 2021. Most departments were contacted a few weeks ago that they will be coming in one day to pack away equipment until next July.
And so will the lights on Broadway!!!
When we finally get a vaccine, the Music Hall will be packing them in again. Hope so, anyway.
It would be interesting if Tishman Speyer tried to appeal it. However I have a friend in NY who’s a member of IATSE who is plugged into all the talk and when I brought it up to her said she’s heard nothing of the sort however she added that she wouldn’t be surprised.
The entire interior of the Music Hall was designated – landmark status by the LPC in 1978. That designation would have to be appealed and reversed before any such conversion, as described above, would be allowed.
Tishman Speyer owns Rockefeller Center. The Music Hall is probably a major drain and they could make a fortune putting in profit generating commercial outlets.
