Great shot of the drive-in, very neat design, Loews even had cool “open-air” theaters.

Mike appreciate your comment I am 52 years old now and wish I was still in that business,I had the chance to move to Dallas with LOEWS but turned them down, They were opening a new quad, looked it up on C.T. and it has already been closed and tore down. The new houses do not seem to last too long.

Nice pictures of the Woodland I grew up near there and it closed as a theater before I was born and I am not that young my dad would tell me about it because he was born on Woodland street.

TLSLOEWS commented about Loew's Vendome Theatre on Nov 3, 2009 at 4:19 pm

After the Loews Vendome burned in 1967, Loews took over the lease of the Crescent down the street. We still had the weekly reports from the Vendome stored there as they were not distroyed in the fire.

TLSLOEWS commented about Paramount Theatre on Nov 3, 2009 at 4:14 pm

In an earlier post it was mentioned that there was not a theater know as LOEWS. There was the LOEWS VENDOME was known to most locals as just The Loews. It faced up Capitol Bvld. looking directly at the Nashville, Tennessee Capitol building.I also used to have some seats from the Paramount that me and a friend took out as they were tearing down the building. We worked for Loews at the LOEWS CRESCENT down church street. I do not know what happen to them though.

Adding to the above comment the Melrose and Bellemeade were built in the early 40,s the Inglewood about 10 years later.

TLSLOEWS commented about Inglewood Theater on Nov 3, 2009 at 3:29 pm

The Inglewood Theater was the only house in Nashville that had a “Cry” room for babys. It was not a sister theater to the Melrose or Bellmeade they looked very different.IT mave have been build by Crescent Amusement Company though any info out there.

Address Numbers can change the old address you have tried may not even be good anymore. There are a lot of posts on this site and we still do not know were this movie house was.
