I would hate to see the Ridgewood close as a movie house but I wonder if the church thats in the Belvedere has any interest in the Ridgewood Theatre. They have said they outgrown the Belvedere and are looking for a larger space. I rather see this happen then the Ridgewood be gutted for retail.
I wish they would strike a new print of Barry Lyndon, remember in the old days when a theatre like the Ziegfeld could easily have a new print and play a 2-3 week engagement of a classic?
Remember Sun Classics? They would 4 wall the theatres and do massive non-stop advertising. Most of the theatres were independents but I see a few UA’s in this ad. We played all of these because we always got at least a break even house allowance and did incredible on concessions. View link

The remaining upstairs at the Corona Plaza sounds like it would make a great XXX theatre.
SO much time has passed and nothing seems to be happening here?
I have ads showing this as Loews Lefrak from when it was triplexed as soon as I have time I will get them out and scan them.
