I missed this one at Radio City Music Hall, Cary Grant had been asked to play the lead but Cary Grant had seen Robert Preston on Broadway in the stage play and said I I can’t top that.

Jerry Lewis was a natural on stage to a live audience. His first solo movie was “The Delicate Delinquent”,Dean Martin was to have played the part Darren Mcgavin got.

I wish I could have seen these live shows, the closest thing now is see them on the Colgate comedy hour on DVD.I must admit I discovered Jerry Lewis first from his movies and the telethon shown every Labor day.Kids could appreciate him right away.comfortably cool, thanks for posting the best!

HE STARTED HIS CAREER AS SOLO PERFORMER DOING WHAT HE CALLED “THE RECORD ACT”,HE WOULD MIME TO A RECORD PLAYER ON STAGE.NEXT HE WOULD MEET DEAN MARTIN AND THEY WOULD MAKE HISTORY.JERRY LEWIS ALWAYS SAID WHAT THEY DID LIVE ON STAGE TOGETHER WAS WAY BETTER THAN ANY MOVIE THEY MADE.WHEN THEY SPLIT IT WAS THOUGHT IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE,BUT THEY WOULD BOTH PROVE THEIR GREATNESS AS INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS. JERRY LEWIS WILL BE REMEMBERED IN THE SAME LIGHT AS CHARLIE CHAPLIN AND BUSTER KEATON!

comfortably cool, you are correct,I,m dyslexic please excuse me.Bobby Van,Patsy Kelly, and Jack Gilford were in the cast also.If I am correct Ruby Keeler had been married to Al Jolson at one time,my mother was a depression era kid and was a big fan of her.

No that is Beauty and the Beast starring Mark Damon,make-up by Jack pierce. The story is based on the fable, told like a fairy tale.

comfortably cool, this double-feature is a little bit more gritty than what you usually post-Bravo! Cornel Wilde did a very good job directing, starring, and producing The Naked Prey.other feature was an Amicus production a British studio similar to Hammer Studio which were “A” productions but “B"material.

Interesting, did you see “Back to Bataan” with John Wayne also? Thirty years ago I worked with someone who was in the Bataan death march.
