My husband read the obviously fake letter from ABC Corporation. He immediatly noticed the title of the person that allegedly wrote it. Vice-President of Communications is a non-existent position in corporate America. Communications falls under the umbrella of the VP of Human Resources. Communications Director is the title given. Never has he seen a Communications VP on the staff of any company.

I just sent a quick e-mail to my longtime friend who is a Detective on the Lombard force to find out if any such inquiries were made. Did you tell them you live in Woodridge when you stopped by? I suspect, as usual, you are a liar and fraud.
An incident did occur on Charlotte Street but was not reported because no damage occured. Some idiot, who has no life, threw a few purple flyers in a neighbors yard late at night. Can you imagine? Someone who is so pathetic that he has nothing better to do with his time than that? What a loser! The joke’s on him though because it was windy that night and all the flyers blew into the only neighborhood yard that had a theatre sign. You can’t imagine the laughs we all shared over that blunder! Buffoon!
No, I admitted a trip to the police station netted NO INVESTIGATIONS, SO YET ANOTHER LIE BY YOU!!! Where’s the alleged e-mail? Where is it? What is the case number and the officer’s name?

I can still taste the Top Dog hot dogs…the best. It was always packed when my friends and I would go there during lunch break from Lincoln School and Sweet Granny’s – YUM. When you saw that bucket on the counter instead of Mom hovering over the stove, you knew it was going to be a great night!
The only business I can remember in the Hobby Lobby building was Handy Andy.
Old timer test 2….Can you name at least four retailers that have occupied the space now home to Hobby Lobby on Main Street? What was the two minute claim to fame at Art & Vis' in the theatre building? Where was the second Mr Z location when they were still in the 700 block of South Main? There was once an “air strip” in Lombard…remember where? What was the name of the first “new” retailer to occupy the building built on that old air strip site? And name the others that have occupied it since.
Trivia question:
What business was located where That’s N Ice is during the early 1970’s?

What Lombard really needs is to bring back Top Dog and Sweet Granny’s Chicken and Pizza. Both were located on Park Ave. near Punky’s. Best food anywhere.
We also had 5 grocery stores in town during the late 60’s. Jewel was located where Praga is. Centrella was located next to Lom Ling. Dutch Kitchen liquors was a grocer (called Dutch Kitchen), the current Mr. Z was National Foods and Mr. Z was located where Walgreens is.
I still remember the day when they were excavating the Brust property for what is now the “new” addition to the funeral home. All work came to a halt because the excavators were finding human limbs in the ground (skeletal remains). We stood there and watched as the coroners dept came and collected them. It turned out that the Brust house (which is now hidden by the new building) was the office for Lombard’s first surgeon. Apparently he was disposing of the limbs from the amputations he performed by burying them in his yard. Apparently amputations were the norm back then because there must have been a dozen arms and legs that they recovered. I’ll never forget that day.
It was in those days when Lombard had an all volunteer fire dept.
The filling station on main and st.charles was then Watson’s Filling station.If I remember correctly, either the owner or one of the mechanics
was fire captain or chief.I used to see him at the theatre quite often.When the fire siren blew he was outta there fast.
