For all intents and purposes the theatre is now an abandoned ruin. Locals have decried what has happend to this theatre and the area in recent Italian Facebook posts I have read.
Opened here April 5, 1936. “Doch Partizana” or “Children of the Revolution,” set in Soviet-era Ukraine, about chldren fighting against the kulaks. Made in 1935, directed by Aleksey Maslyukov.
The last title is properly spelled “La Viaccia.” It’s a film by Mauro Bolognini. Belmondo made a number of films in Italy for Italian directors. His voice was dubbed for those.
DEVOTION was released in April 1946.
“Bank Dick” and “Never Give a Sucker an Even Break.” were 1940 and 1941 W.C. Fields films.
