Along Kafue Road there was a cinema where you watched films while sitting in the car with speakers next to the car.
It was on the left as you drove towards Kafue just after the Chawama turn off.
By the early 1980s the place had closed. Apparently thieves would rob people watching movies.

It has since been reverted to farmland
it had burnt down cause was more likely vandals in the 1980’s

Two more screens were added in 1993 but screen 3 was removed in 2020. Closed in 2012 but reopened in 2014. 4K digital projector installed on screen 1 in 2021.
Vermont doesn’t celebrate Columbus Day anymore. It has since been replaced by indigenous peoples day.
