i worked with this person when he worked in the boston area theatres-i do not know the other people you have named- I have found out where he resides now he is now in the seattle washington area. i figured i would let you know i can not locate a phone number for him- if i could i would call him myself- i consider this issue closed and will no longer be posting any other comments- i am from the orlando area myself and not from the new england area- i relocated here over a year ago.
ed renden i hear is at the showcase seekonk on fall river avenue- he used to work at the small theatre across the street 9-10 before they closed it- he worked with a another manager who was a very good friend of mine who i have lost touched with- wonder where he is now any one know?
i recently went a saw a movie here and made a complaint about the rest rooms they were dirty and looked like it had not be cleaned in days, when i wanted to make a complaint the manager was not available to speak with me- i was told the manager was not in- it appeared to me that he or she did not want to speak with me- someone had to be in charge… i even complained the owners of this theatre chain and no one even responded- it only shows me that no one cares
were you able to find out how to contact yet? It amazes me that you can list a post here saying that he is alive and well- you don’t even know it for sure
Just wondering if anyone has a contact information for this above person. I also want to know if the rumor of his fatal heart attack is true I have not been able to find out if his passing is true
Mr. S was not fired, He was nearing 20 yrs and was told that his position was being phased out- Showcase Cinemas does not like to keep long time employees around.
I recently saw a movie here for the first time. The staff was polite, the restrooms were very clean, and the movie was great I highly recommend this theatre. I will return.
In response to Donald Darko’s comments concerning the cues you are 100% right- if the cues get worn they need to be replaced, which theatres have you been a projectionist at? or currently working at? do you operate carbon arcs? platter systems or reel to reel?
the popcorn was terrible when i complained to a manager they could care less- next time I will either go somewhere else or sneak in my own stuff- anyone else have any probelms with this theatre?
I complained in the past and nothing has been done- I spoke to someone who said they were a manager and they could careless what I was saying. I would go on there web site and complain maybe it will work for you. They do have one person in the projectionist booth but you don’t say something like the girl did . I would call there corporate offices and complain Im still trying to locate a telephone number for them. You should have been treated better than you did.
it will be interesting to see how this new Cinemaworld competes with the various Showcase Cinemas in the area. I bet within 5 yrs you will see the owners of Showcase buy this theatre they did end up purchasing Prov Place and Apple Valley a few yrs after it was opened. Showcase is such a big player in this area and they don’t like the competition moving in on there area.
National Amusements I believe makes money on the trivia slides. the film companies have specific requests on where they want there coming attractions on.wait untill the x-mas product comes out you see more coming attractions Im sure .
I am one who never complains but I recently viewed a movie in this theatre it was so cold I have to put my coat on, I think the ac was running, at the end of the movie I complained to a usher who got me a manager. The manager could care less what I had to say just listen and walked away, didint even say sorry. What I am trying to say that if you go to this theatre bring a winter coat you probably need it.Has anyone else experienced a probelm being cold?
