Seat counts for Theatre #23 (Laser IMAX) is now 196 (Recliners. Dolby Cinema seat count is now 195 (Recliners). both theatres has 5 Wheelchair spots included in the seat count
Please update, seating 3810 (IMAX Laser and Dolby reduced the total for the complex)

Best common height Dolby Cinema in the Philly metro. Slightly smaller than the common height screen at AMC Neshaminy but that theater has severe lighting issues (see my comment on the AMC Neshaminy page). Atmos was underwhelming at the two films I saw here yesterday (Sonic and Fantasy Island) but the Dolby promo sound was good so it could have been a film issue rather than a theater issue.
IMAX Laser here has tiered seating with Dolby recliners unlike the IMAX Laser theaters at AMC Rockaway and AMC New Brunswick (AMC Neshaminy IMAX also has tiered seating with Dolby recliners but it is not IMAX Laser). Outstanding theater for 1.85:1 releases.

With regard to NJ, New Brunswick 18 has also been confirmed to receive IMAX with Laser and Garden State 16’s IMAX is undergoing renovations (Laser is not confirmed as of yet but it’s likely).
I’m skeptical that they’ll add recliners, however, since that would halve the number of available seats. For these kinds of upgrades, the new seating that they usually put in are called “AMC Signature Plush Rockers”

One of the auditoriums is being renovated into a Dolby Cinema auditorium (auditorium 23?) as of September 2018. Will likely be open for Thanksgiving/Christmas movie season.
They should have dolby cinema here…
My Last visit to this theater in January of 2016 to see The Hateful Eight in its 70mm Roadshow, I used to avoid this theater because of the reviews of patrons, but now this is commonplace at all theaters. I saw Hateful 8, on a weekday at its first showing I believe, and it was wonderful, had no problem at all, I guess this is the time to go there. Never on the weekends, never!!!!!!!!

A year and half later, several AMCs in the NYC area got Digital IMAX theaters.
O.K.
It will be August of this year when The AMC Loews Cherry Hill 24, as well as the AMC Hamilton 24 and the AMC Neshaminy 24, will have their Digital IMAX Theatres operational.
better news. IMAX 3D will come to this theater come summer 2008 as a part of a deal between AMC and IMAX.
I agree that this is a terrible theater. Bad sound, rude employees, and a bad layout. Not to mention high prices. again, though, convenience wins out over everything else.
Probably…the newer AMC theaters have the NCM contracts, while the older theaters that were once Loews Cineplex still carry Screenvision and Fandango, which is confusing for most movie goers when buying tickets. The only thing that’s changed is that the Moviewatcher card as well as the AMC entertainment card can be used at all AMC theaters. I hate it when the show the pre-show as film, not digital as the newer theaters do. The General Cinema theaters that were acquired by AMC were given a different makeover than the Loews deal, as those theaters were better than the Loews brand.
Do you think AMC keeping the Loews, Cineplex Odeon, Star & Magic Johnson name on the buildings has anything to do with the Screenvision Advertising & Fandango Ticketing contracts that Loews Cineplex entered into right before the merger agreement with AMC?
Cineplex Odeon Theatres bought RKO Century Warner Theatres (aka RKO Stanley Warner Theatres-Stanley Warner Theatres-The Stanley Company of America, RKO Cinema 5-Rugoff Theatres-Walter Reade Theatres-Plitt Theatres) in early 1987. Loews/Sony Theatres bought Cineplex Odeon Theatres in 1998. AMC Theatres bought Loews Cineplex Entertainment in 1/27/2006.
And when did that chain go out of business? Is it when Cineplex Odeon took over the operation and made it into their own business?
All of the former Loews Cineplex theatres up in NYC area, Detroit area, and Chicago area still has their “Loews”, “Cineplex Odeon”, “Star” and “Magic Johnson” names on their buildings.
In regards to RKO Stanley Warner: In 1930, Warner Brothers acquired The Stanley Company of America, and renamed the theatre division to “Stanley Warner”. Pacific Theatres bought Stanley Warner in the late 1950’s/early 1960’s, and then acquired RKO Theatres in 1967, and merged RKO and Stanley Warner into 1 division: RKO Stanley Warner, while creating another division: Pacific East. Pacific Theatres also had in the NYC area another division: RKO Cinema 5 (Former Rugoff Theatres).
In 1981, when Almi/Century acquired RKO Stanley Warner from Pacific Theatres, they renamed the new company to “RKO Century Warner Theatres”
Wouldn’t it be better if Clearview bought the theater from AMC and make it more friendly? That would be cool!!!
