Very sad that this theater closed. Lots of good memories there throughout my childhood. They also were one of the first theaters to start a classic film program in my area where I saw a lot of my older favorites on the big screen for the first time - including Goodfellas, Back to the Future Jaws and Terminator 2. I just hope the industry survives this pandemic.

This is one of the better theaters to be managed by Cinepolis.

I think this theater and mansfield will get renovations once work is done in Parsippany.
As a bow-tie, they use this part of the facility to warehouse excess equipment

this winter season will mark 10 years since the last remodel…i wonder if Bowtie put in new seats in all of the screens…

I remember cleaning the screens here in the late 90’s. Those 2 upstairs theatres were a joke. You stood up out of your seat and your head was in the picture.
@ Hammer – the upstairs theaters were gutted back in 2005 (the whole building was closed for a few months while they built two new screens). I don’t see any evidence, with the refacing it looks like a normal modern multiplex. (inside it still has issues including sound bleeding from auditorium to auditorium, unless its been corrected in the last 5 years).
I attended this theater back when it had one screen. Please note that it is called Cinema 10 because it is on Route 10. I saw the original Star Wars when it first came out, and had to drive all the way to Paramus to see it in 70mm, six track Dolby sound, which this theater did not have, at least not when I lived in the area.
where can i see any evidence of upstairs houses? i have seen none
I went to see “The Other Guys” in theater #7 on Free Movie Tuesday. I got into the theater just in time for the movie to start. Decent crowd, and presentation was very good, even though there were some masking issues but they were minor.
Later this year will mark 5 years since the theater was renovated. I haven’t been to this theater since I saw “National Treasure 2”. Is 4k projection going to be installed in all screens soon? As for the theater itself, it’s Morris County’s version of the Tenplex. Did this theater during its time as a single screen had 70mm projection?
When will the classics return? This must be the only Clearview in North Jersey that is showing this kinda stuff.
Tonight at 10, the Mel Brooks comedy classic “History of the World Part I” is playing. Tickets are still available for this film. It’s a good movie that I saw first on VHS. Worth seeing on the big screen due to its lavish budget values.
Try going to google news archives and typing in succasunna cinema 10 and click back to the 1980’s section. Here’s something I can recall from nearly three years ago when the two new screens were almost done…before the movie King Kong started in theater #5, one of the staff members (the GM) welcomed the audience into the movie and told about donating money to the Will Rogers fund or something like that…this is something that the AMC in Rockaway would like to see. And btw, I never went to the upstairs theaters for good reason…they were probably worse than the newer two screens!!!

Now I ask, does anyone have any links to Cinema 10 before the last wing was installed? How about before it was turned into a 10plex (back when it only had like 4 screens and the opening used to face towards where now is a McDonalds?
Just got an email from Clearview and that the Classics program will be back at this theater and the Parsippany theater. Most of the films being shown will be older horror movies such as “Psycho”, “The Exorcist”, and “Rosemary’s Baby”.
like its sister cinema in Parsippany, this theater has been quiet on selling tix to “Iron Man”, “Speed Racer”, and “Narnia”. “Speed Racer” will be shown on one screen with RWC/DVS, and on another screen. I saw the first Narnia movie in one of the two new auditoriums on opening weekend, and it was a great experience. Now it will finally show “Narnia 2” in DLP. I saw a trailer for that in DLP before the showing of National Treasure, it looks lifelike!! And it seems that the Clearviews near me have been showing those NCM Fathom features more than Rockaway, which heavily advertises it on its screens but hasn’t been playing them ever.
